The SISAP research group (GR-SISAP) is a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in preventive medicine, family medicine and statistics. The group aims to develop research in the field of primary care information systems. This includes studies on the use of indicators or clinical practice support tools created from data in the computerised medical record; but also undertaking work in the field of the organisation and management of primary care teams (PCTs), and epidemiological and public health analyses from the perspective of primary care (PC). Thus, the group is committed to rigorous research and the practical applicability of its findings in the day-to-day work of primary care professionals, in order to improve clinical practice and population health. Over the last four years, the group’s members have carried out various research projects, both independently and in collaboration with other established groups at the IDIAP. (GAVINA, PROSAARU, RWEpi), with the BIOCOM-SC research group (Computational Biology Group) of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the COPEDI-CAT paediatric health research group, the University of Oxford and the General Secretariat of Public Health.
